DH and child care
Why, oh why, is DH incapable of handling the simplest tasks? Oh yeah, I know --- because he's lazy!
With the new 50/50 custody schedule and the upcoming holidays I mentioned that he will need to arrange daycare for SS7 for Dec. 30 and 31 as he and I will both be at work. He simply can't handle the simplest tasks! We have a daycare facility that he could use but does he want to get off his ass today and go there with his son (it's a snow day for his son's school) and take a tour, find out what he needs to do, etc? Nope. Even after I said it would be helpful to go to the facility and take a tour so SS7 isn't caught off guard the first time he gets dropped off, he still wouldn't do it.
THEN, he calls me and said "What should I do? What do other people do if the daycare isn't open and they have to work?" Really?? You can't figure this shit out? Ummm, find a teenager or close friend that you trust and ask them to babysit? And I simply refuse to make any calls or figure anything out for him. I do that too much as it is.
He literally called me 4 times and texted me 4 times over this. DH, USE YOUR BRAIN FOR ONCE, LAZY ASS!!!

I would have replied, "Then YOU take off from work". It's what I had to do in this exact same situation.

Ahahaha. It's fun to let the bio parents actually do the work for their kids. I wish my husband could learn a lesson like this, unfortunately his mother is always there to rescue him and precious little SD. DH is a mammas boy and MIL has made my husband her stand in husband because her own husband sucks I guess. It's all quite sick really!
