Full-time SM with Creepy SD
Please tell me someone else has a creepy skid. I'm a fulltimer and my SD is so strange and creepy, no matter what we try to teach her. I'm convinced it's genetic and there's nothing we can ever do about it.

For starters, DH & I were watching an R-rated movie. There were boobs and penises everywhere (lol) SD12 decides to come sit on the couch. Please note: SD NEVER EVER HANGS OUT WITH US BY CHOICE. EVER. So, great timing on SD's part (as always) After a few very uncomfortable minutes, DH tells SD to go to her room and "take a break" from tv. SD stomps off and retreats for 2 days and won't talk to us (especially she won't talk to me).
This incident might sound stupid and menial. BUT...It's one of many....There are so many examples of this kid having anti-social strange problems. Our adult friends, and even strangers feel very uncomfortable around her. She gives them dirty looks, strange fake smiles, and weird hand gestures.
Every SINGLE time we eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner, SD will finish before anyone...and I'm talking within less than 5 minutes of hard-to-prepare-food....She will devour it all in seconds then sit there at the table staring at everyone with the look of a homeless person who hasn't eaten in days while everyone else just had a feast. She will stare in the eye of every person at the table with daggers as if they stole her food! Every meal with her is just plain torture to me because of this.
My problem is EVERY time I
My problem is EVERY time I try to address it with DH and tell him to teach, or at a minimum, try to explain to SD how inappropriate her social behavior is and what is the right way to act.....I tell him to address it but he just tells me I'm an evil person and starts quoting religious scriptures or some shit to make me feel like a bad person.
Seriously...this kid really does have problems. And no one is here to fix it. I'm the only one who even recognizes it. Anything I say gets used against me.
DH even told me I"M THE
DH even told me I"M THE ABUSER!! LOL. What...because I dare to tell SD how to behave at a dinner table!!!!
Sounds like DH may be the
Sounds like DH may be the bigger problem than SD.

The other day, I swatted my SD8, who lives with us fulltime, on the bottom twice with my bare hand. It was a horrible mistake. She was not hurt, but I am the only mother she has because BM disappeared about 6 years ago. I really hurt this child's feelings. This was the first time in 6 years that I raised a hand to her, and it will not happen again. For now, I am certain swatting/hitting/etc is a mistake. At least for my family. Perhaps others feel differently.

Thanks. It makes me feel better to know that others do the same things I do. And congrats on how well your daughter turned out. I have a DD10, plus this SD8, and my best hope is that they turn out to be decent women.

Have you had SD seen by a medical professional to rule out any medical problems she might have? After that, perhaps she could benefit from seeing a counselor. Since you stated that no one recognizes her behavior problems except you, it might be best if someone outside of the family could evaluate her problems.
I, too, dislike it when some uses religion to preach hate. Religion should help us, not drive us apart. Good luck.
