He is 14 and a constant jerk who can only focus on one thing in life (video games and internet) and is always doing sneaky little things to break all the rules. NO, you cannot eat candy in your room!!! NO, you cannot play video games when you're failing a class!!!! NO, your father will NOT take you to McDonalds after we just had a home cooked meal, and what makes you think that is any kind of appropriate question that you could EVER ask?? NO, you WILL NOT EVER have an iPhone until you pay for the service yourself!! NO, you cannot go to your friend's house because you will just USE THEM to play video games, ask me that question when you're NOT grounded!!! YES, it IS mean to lock a dog in a crate all day when you're home from school, how about I lock you in a closet??? YES, ants will get in your room if you keep eating crap up there. YES, I CAN TELL that you ate chips all afternoon and THAT is why you aren't hungry. :jawdrop:

JUST THOUGHT...Try this.

Tell SS...I know you are wise for you age. ( say this even if he is not...just bear with me)I have to ask...why do you ask for things...When I know, you know the answer is NO?

Get a chalkboard...POST...Do NOT ask for WHATEVER, when you KNOW the answer is NO. Should you still try to work me to say YES...IT WILL NOT BE BETTER! }:) }:) }:)

My ss13 is the same way. Its even worse with my ss11. The 11yr old will say stuff like"that looks good to eat,I like that" over and over again without asking. The 13 year.old is jus plain thoughtless about pthets. He was in the hospital for a week and my wife stayed their every night. I told him that I was going to stay one night then leave at 5am to go to work so my wife could have a break. He looked at me dead in the face and said"no I dont want you to stay here". I calmly grabed my bio 3 year old son and walked out with my wife defending what.he said. Since then I disengaged. He is back ri lying,sneaking food,and just being a plain twat waffle. Sunday I got them fishing poles. He screamed like a girl when I said hey put your own worm on. He sat the pole down and said"im done mom can have my pole". My.mind set.now is "fuck you yo cry baby mibi husband." My wife auctually asked me "what do you want me to do". I told her "fking parent him insted of acting like your married to him". This kid has cost me so much money that I.now put my checks in my accout and wont spend a dime on him.

I think DH knows I'll divorce him for that. I joke, because it's sad when the dad is so easily manipulated and you love him, so you put up with it. I put up with a lot too.
