... so how about starting one here?

... with me lying debilitated in bed with flu having to listen to SD15 verbally abusing my dog, shouting at her; telling her to 'get out the f****ng way, stupid dog' (she is a lovely, kind-natured dog, but I am a vet and I know where this negative behaviour could lead). I've seen her hit her before, I can't get out of bed to see what's going on, I have no voice. DH can't hear me but I start crying as it's all I can do in my helpless position.

DH comes upstairs to get my dog into my room so she'll be out the way, sees me crying;
"what's wrong?"
"Please make her stop"
(Shouts at SD) "Stop being so aggressive to the dog, it's not her fault"
(SD) "Oh for God's sake, I don't need this right now, it's just a dog"

I have to admit DH is lovely to me, possibly too much so as I have to actually force him to sod off away from me and spend time with his daughter (I know, I wouldn't want to either). I also admit to having become a complete victim since 'crazy b**ch' aka BM stormed my house this summer after her daughter had ruined our holiday. BM told me (rather aggressively) 'not to try and be her Mum' and to 'stop criticising her'. I have since played 'the borderline doormat' - the shag-pile that will soon snap lethal vice arms on its merry crisscrossers... or just throw itself out in the rubbish in an attempt to end it all.

So, welcome to my world and thank you for the rant! Apologies for the English-isms Smile

Hi there!

I'm so sorry you are sick.

I couldn't even get past the part about her yelling at your dog. I think people who are unnecessarily mean to animals are probably also sociopaths. Also since dogs don't always respond to humans crazily yelling something they don't understand, I'd be worried the little snit would move past verbal assault and start hitting the dog. Sad

Sorry that your down with flue. If your dog is like mine, there is nothing they like better then to cuddle on the bed with you. So do just that. Shut the bedroom door, and let husband handle his daughter. If you have a headset to use for watching tv or listening to music then use them to block sd and her father from your world. Hope you feel better soon.

Haha, that's what I'm doing RIGHT NOW - me and furry baby are cuddled up on here felling better by the minute..

... and he has to endure taking bitchy SD for fast food. Ha! Who wins?! Just not sure whether to coo or curse when he walks back in Smile

(((Hugs))) Sorry you’re sick. My fur babies are pretty much my kids. If my skids ever yelled, let alone hit, one of my fur babies I would be raising hell and I wouldn't give a crap about the crazy bitch drama it might cause. Keep your sweet little fur baby with you while you're sick. Nothing is better than puppy therapy when you’re sick. When you’re back up on your feet don’t let that SD push you around anymore. You don’t have to say anything just give her a really nasty look when she tries to disrespect you. Protect your fur baby. Explain to her that hitting a dog is against the law, its animal cruelty. She’s 15 so she is old enough to know better.
