Ok. I just had a big rant melt down about MIL. FIL told DH "just tell your mom when she does something & move on with life" That's all it took. Que meltdown. Tell her. Tell her. Like that works first of all. And tell her. Who do we know that we have to tell hey don't go thru our trash, hey don't tell my kids that SM isn't their parent, hey don't ask my wife if I sexually satisfy her (yeah!!! I know!) hey don't call 14 times in an hour and a half, hey after you called 14 times don't leave a message threatening to come over & bang our door down, hey don't go behind our backs trashing us to all of the rest of the family, hey don't analyze our pictures & make judgements on the closeness of step parent appeared relationships, hey how bout you not refer my wife as "an abused woman". On and on and on. Seriously. Just tell her. Who else do we have to tell these things to? NO ONE! No one acts like this!!!!!!

You are right, no one should act like that!

Why are so many of us in the place where they do???

Honestly!?! Tell her to stop. Really?! We shouldn't have to. What happens is people act this way. You say something. They act that way. We sit down for a more formal meeting. They act that way. You set boundaries. They act that way. You don't talk to them for 5 months. And that's where we are. Ugh.

Wow! Your MIL sounds crazier than most BMs. Notasm is right about the RO. If it makes you feel any better, my grandmother is pretty bad, too. Half the family boycotted Thanksgiving this year because of the crap she has said and done recently. Ugh!

Yeah I've watched talk shows & think my MIL would blow the crazy MIL on TV outa the water. Ugh. What's your grandma do???

She tried to come between her four sons and their wives for years. My parents split up and almost divorced because she would demand he drop everything and come running when she snapped her fingers. From what my mom and my aunts have said, she's the MIL from hell. A few months ago she called my DH (we'd been married all of 4 mo) and screamed at him because we were buying my parents' home (which is on land passed down through our family). See, my cousin and her sex offender boyfriend were living next door with my uncle. She told DH how dare we move into my parents' home knowing what problems it will cause my cousin and her bf because of the skids. She told him we had no right to move into that house, and if BM gets the bf arrested, she would never forgive us. Apparently she forgot that we've known this bf for years. He has always known when we have the skids and stays far away during that time. Then we had a family member pass away last month. She pulled this family member's son to the side as he is preparing to escort his mother's casket into the chapel to complain about his wife. She told my mom at Thanksgiving to just go on back to my parents' new cabin, and that she didn't need to be at Thanksgiving. She also threw a melt down temper tantrum (worse than any toddler could throw) multiple times when she found out my parents were moving to their cabin a couple of hours away. She's been known to start crying if her sons don't give her what she wants. Now she wonders why most of us avoid stopping by when most of us live within 2 miles of her.

Dear heavens. She sounds like she's stirring things up equally for everyone. Haha. My MIL while she inappropriate with everyone she's only obsessed with my DH & one of my step kids. Eh.

Oh yes. Grandmother is an equal opportunity witch. Except when it involves my cousin. Can't let anyone take the spotlight from poor GD26 because she was a COD! Lol
