Yippy Skippy-Sd17's manipulation of H is working in my favor-this time
We're having Thanksgiving here. H's mother is in the nursing home 30 miles away, where H's sister lives.
The last time we went to visit H's mother, the nursing home aide was a good looking young man. I saw SD17 making eyes at him. I even commented on it-whereupon I received the "why don't you just die" glare from her.
Suddenly, SD17 is best friends with her cousin, the sisters daughter. Whom she has not spoken to in years. Why?-because sd17's cousin knows this boy.
So now, suddenly, SD17 has a fierce interest in going to H's sisters on Thanksgiving.
So SD17 now will pretend to be so close to her aunt, her cousin, so she can spend all her free time in the town this boy lives in. Which is wonderful for me. We'll have dinner here, H and his leeches can to spend all the rest of the day 30 miles away, so SD17 can get her flirt on with this boy. And my son and I will watch football. Just the two of us. He'll have his beer, I'll have my wine, and who cares if the leeches come home that night to a slighty tipsy me?

Oh no, how is H going to feel if his precious daughter hooks up with this new man. Maybe he'll buy matching shoes for all 3 of them to wear lol (Sorry Betwitched, couldn't help but add that one in).
I'm so glad for you that you get to spend some one on one time with your son. Enjoy every minute of it and don't only get tipsy, get totally smashed so then you wont even remember if H and the leeches come home at all.

Geez, I haven't tied one on in like, forever. Last time my son was home, we were talking about excessive drinking. I was going to drive his truck home from eating out, cause he wanted to have a few beers. And I was like...well, what if I want a few beers too? He just looked at me, all puzzled-and said, Mom, you've never been drunk. Which means when my son and I were living, just the two of us, and I was dating and going to parties, I hid it real well!
But it's been a great day. Beautiful outside, washed all the blankets, comforters etc I could get my hot little hands on so I could dry them outside-love that smell! Dani cracked me up, 4ofus made me remember who I used to be with her marathon, and 5teens has hope. Good day. (and H is at work, skids at their bm's). Really good day.
