We just got back from our spring break vacation with the skids. Overall it was a good trip. This is the first family vacation we’ve had in 5 years. There are just a few things I need to vent about:

1. Thanks ever so much BM for letting SS12 do 3 sleepovers within the 2 weeks before our trip. This resulted in his “ear feeling funny”. So after a trip the our GP and a prescription for antibiotics we were on our way – driving cross country for 13 hours, with a sick kid, awesome.

2. Thanks SS17 for not letting anyone know you have an infected in-grown toenail. Thanks for informing us of the festering toe the first night of our trip. Thanks also for taking a picture of it and sending it to BM. It was awesome having her call each and every day expecting an update and debating with DH over whether or not to make a trip to the ER. (And BM being the MOTY that she is made a dr. appt. for SS17 for bright and early Monday morning, this should be good.)

3. Newsflash - A 17 year old young man is perfectly capable of cleaning and dressing his own festering in-grown toenail. NOT. I got the pleasure of watching DH clean and dress SS17’s toe every morning and evening. Oh the memories :sick:

4. DH – WTF is your problem? Sexy time is not going to happen in a hotel room that we a SHARING with SS12 & SS17. Why did you insist on attempting every single night? I’m flattered and all, but seriously you should have booked 2 rooms instead one, you’re such a tight-wad.
