Well after a nice, quiet, week hiatus - the skids are back today.

DH and I are "trying to get back to a good place" as he calls it, so I set some boundaries for their visit... so I don't lose my mind and end up fighting with him and/or over-extending myself any more than I already have - ending up back in a pit of resentment.

'We' discussed the following this AM:

DH is to:

-Budget his money so if they want to do something, HE can pay for it. If he is too immature to handle that, he can hand over his money for the week to me. 5 days of sitting in the house hearing "I'm bored" is too much.

-Wake up early and let me get ready for work, or on the weekends - sleep in, in peace.

-Control his son's i-pad screen time, limit and monitor video games, install effective measures to prevent him from viewing porn at my house. AKA be a parent not a buddy.

-Reasonable bed times. I told him I am not playing musical beds where skids decide to pass out wherever they want. They go in their room at a reasonable hour and do not emerge until the morning.

I enjoy the skids to an extent. I am not disengaged but I am also not doing all the heavy lifting anymore. I don't mind cooking a meal - if DH cleans up. I don't mind waking up with the skids, if I feel up to it. I don't mind buying the skids a doughnut or an ice cream cone on occasion, but I do mind DH blowing his money on himself and me footing the bill for their entertainment. I can't. I can't. I CANNOT. and I won't.

ETA: I can't believe I even have to outline this shit for a grown man. Shaking my damn head.
