So the SD that said she might show up next week, after Christmas just sent DH a package from her house. It arrived just now and maybe I'm being too sensitive but it was pointedly just addressed to her father. Now maybe there might be a gift for me  in there but she clearly didn't address the package to me as well. 

I had a good talk with my daughter over my sadness. She feels the loss of both grandparents this year and she loved her little cousin so much. He is lost to us and we loved him so much. I know his life will not be easy being raised by monsters. I know because I was raised by the same witch and her personality disorders have only worsened with very old age.
