Well, SD11 informed us tonight shes not sure if she wants to stay the month-month and a half this summer. We are making the exchange Friday! DH tells me that shes had homesick issues before, but that was when she was younger....their solution was to take the 2 1/2-3 hr drive back to her mom's to take her home. Problem: we are now 13 hrs away from her.

BM got on the phone and was saying things like "I don't know if she's going to come" and "she got homesick when she went with my sister on vacation for a week", to ending the conversation with "well, I will talk with her over the next couple days". My 23 yr old BD will be here with her, so she will never be alone.

Has anyone dealt with homesickness issues with their SC? Looking for any ideas that we can apply to SD11 to help her enjoy her visit with her dad, and not be continuously upset over wanting to go home.
