I want to share something beautiful to all of you who are enriching my life and saving my sanity

So many of you have reached out to me with kindness, great advice, and put up with my on-line addiction that I'm developing (I've, in fact, promised myself limited computer tomorrow, just to prove to myself that I'm not developing a problem here).

When my life was at it's lowest-no, not right now, it actually has been worse-I left. Moved to the gulf coast. Found a beautiful beach there and healed- for 9 months I healed. We all have our healing place. My is the ocean, the waves. I've been to California, Hawaii, Cancun. But the most God like peace I found was this undeveloped beach in Texas. My dream is to return there some way, some day.

So this man (and this might be old hat here to you all, if so, sorry) and his music is amazing. I listen to him when I feel like I'm gonna lose it, and it calms me. So, I want to share with you all. His name is Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. Favorite songs-Hawaii '78, and, most of all "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". Go to You Tube. You don't need to type in the whole name-just type in IZ, and listen, if you will. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. This gentle giant of a man (now long gone) takes me to a place in my head that is totally serene.

Though I must say, that thanks to SW, a cabin in the woods creates the same peace within. Roaring fire, and the breeze through the 100 plus foot trees is the closest thing to the ocean surf I have ever heard.

Thanks for sharing the music. I have heard his version of over the Rainbow of course, but didn't know anything about him.

I live the Northeast; nothing like the GULF OF MEXICO (not
an ocean, but...) during the winter months. The Mediterranean
Sea is pretty cool too. The blue waters of the Atlantic
off Bermuda are quite calming as well.

I love the NE Atlantic.

Where are you?
PM if you don't want to say on here.

I'm in the midwest. Smack dab in the middle. It was 1200 miles to my beloved beach. And that's probably the closest one. But, my folks are here, and would be alone had I not returned. So the beauty of their faces, the smile on my father's face when I, say, take him a pumpkin pie (he had a stroke 5 yrs ago) will keep me here as long as they need me.

I DID send you a PM; still "paranoid" the SDs will google me
one day, find me here (the stories are too unique for them
to NOT know I'm talking about them!!) and then it'll be WAR.

Life is too good (and this site is too awesome Smile ) to risk it!

I still will, but let me just say, that my SD's BM would never look for me on here.

Because I don't exist.

I am a figment of SD and DH's imagination as far as she's concerned.

Unless she wants to drop SD back off and DH's not home. Then I am "She" which SD has started using to talk to DH about me too.

Apple stays close to the tree, but I am concerned SD will sneak a peak, as all the kids snooped around the back of my shoulder when typing at various times, and like most amateur sleuth children they know the name of the site. Around that time SD even tried to tell DH to tell me I'm not ALLOWED to post here.

He told her NO. and "If you don't want her posting about you, stop doing stupid things for her to post about."

I love that man o'mine. If he's not worried about her reading it, then I have to let go too.

I love livin' on Cape Cod. Left sunny Sarasota Fl., where Venice, and Siesta Key beaches were my "place to be", and I also had a special place in my heart for Ft. Myers Beach....it's awesome. But coming here to this little town, walking distance from the ocean, watching the seasons change around it, is by far, for me, the best. I have not lived in Mass. for 17 years.......it was great to come home again."~waiting on the world to change~"

My true love... Thankfully CA is not too far away, but I wish I could just stroll and listen to the crashing waves a little more often. Smile
