Am I the only one?

...does anyone else have this problem?

My DH, while grump at times seems to get EXTRA snappy and stressed right before sd15 visits. He claims he isn't but there is a definite change in mood in the days leading up to his visit. Was wondering if anyone else sees this in their spouse?

Although he preaches to anyone who will listen that he wants more time with her he picked THIS weekend to do major yard work in our backyard (something he's been promising to get to for 3 weeks). He tells me this as he walks out the backdoor, 'Honey, make sure sd gets her homework and chores started while I do the yard.' Ummmmm noooooo...."How about you go wake her since you told her LAST NIGHT that she would no longer be sleeping past 10am anymore (it's now almost 11:30) and tell her to do that."

It's strange how he always wants her here, but busies himself the whole weekend to avoid really interacting.

As I type this he is napping on the couch and she is watching tv. This is typical of our weekends with her. There is talk of them playing mini putt tomorrow while I get some things done for work.

Oh yes I did make him go and wake her, tell her to get her chores and homework done. And she dicked around. She could have earned some money if she was done in time and got outside to help her dad...but nope. Stretched out 30 minutes of chores over 2 hours.

I'm just guessing. It could be sexual. No not attraction but the opposite. He just can't relate to a young yet sexually mature girl. Nothing in common.

Does she look like his ex? That might be repelling. Seriously.

Teens need more sleep than kids or adults. I'd let her sleep for a start.

And finally maybe he just doesn't know what to do now that she's grown.

My husband gets a little grumpy/mood change the day before he picks ss up. I've confronted him about it and it's actually something else. He says knowing that he will have to see his ex makes him physically sick, he doesn't like confrontation.

The National Sleep Foundation recommends that teenagers  receive between 8.5 hours and 9.25 hours each night.

Add to that insufficient sleep during the week and excessive sleeping would occur. Also sleeping a lot is one of the symptoms of depression.
