You guys will love this - I told you all that Medusa had filed for a modification of her child support (that she is NEVER current on) back in September. We got the recommendation the other day.
Based on her statements and bullshit, the recommendation says her support should be lowered by about $400 per month. The report says, "Mother states she sold her business to her current employer and entered into an employment agreement that ended in 2/15. Since then she has been taken off the shared accounts and this has affected her income. Employer verifies that last year she earned 39544 and is on track to earn 29604 this year. Father provided FOC with a business card and business formation documents for Medusa's Thrift Shop. When asked about Medusa's Thrift Shop, Mother states that she was trying to open a store on XYZ Street in NextTownOver but the landlord backed out so it never materialized. I emailed the other person on the business card to inquire about the business, but never heard back."
Okay - couple of issues here. The last time DH had a review - when I found out about her selling her company to and working for BusinessSheSoldHerCompanyTo and asked for support to be increased, she LIED at the hearing and told the Referee that she was self-employed. DH couldn't prove (even though we KNEW that she had) that she actually sold the business, but it didn't matter because even when she convinced the Referee that the two accounts she "lost" dramatically impacted her income, she didn't meet the threshold to beat the new recommendation and her support went up. Now she admits that she sold the business. Freaking liar!!
Second - the FOC broad just took Medusa's word that the store never materialized. Um, ever heard of Google? Oh, and let's not forget that we had her SERVED at the store 
So, you can just tell this idiot at FOC anything and she will believe you???
Of course, DH will file an objection to the recommendation. I can't wait for Awesome Attorney to catch her in THAT lie. I have printed out her FB page for the store, several google searches from whitepages.com, and the like and, of course, we have the proof of service from when she was served with DH's discovery requests, which she never answered, by the way.
Motion to Compel AND objections to this new recommendation will be filed today.
Can't lift a finger to be an actual parent, but she can lie her ass off to find ways to not contribute financially. Man oh man, I hate this bitch!!

DH said the exact same thing as you, Lady - and he experienced the bias from a different judge when he first filed for divorce. They had been working together at the business they owned and she locked him out. It took some time for him to find a new job, and in the interim his income was imputed at $75,000.
But then again, he didn't have a vagina, sooooo..........

But, FOC broad only asked Medusa - and believed every word she said. Not sure if she could have been more lazy. If I were a FOC Support Specialist, I would have at least called the phone number on the business card that I provided to her to see who answered the damn phone. Or perhaps driven by to SEE the damn store for myself.

The case worker shouldn't be expected to go check lying scum. It certainly would be cost prohibited to personally physically investigate. What should be happening though is the ability for cross reference of their data systems. Click, click 'oh, seems to be a problem, Ms. Medusa. I seem to have you as owner of the business at blah blah'.
In the age of technology we live in state's intranet system between dept./agencies, this should be a non-factor in hardships of detection of lying deadbeats.

They did send out a new Income Withholding, but here in Michigan, they let you make up your back support $50 per month. Even with the $400 per month reduction, she would STILL be almost $4000 behind. At $50 extra a month, that's going to be a looooooong time until she catches up.
