I've been extremely sick since Friday. As a result, H has been solely responsible for DD7. He had apparently offered to take SD16 and SD14 to a haunted house last night, but obviously DD7 can't participate in that, so he let them know yesterday morning that they were welcome to come over and hang out with him and DD, but they'd have to do the haunted house another time.

This change of plans seems like a normal thing to happen in a family, right? Or so most of us would think. But instead of just rolling with the punches, BM and SDs have all three unleashed the most epic temper tantrums you can imagine. H stopped by with DD to bring me some soup and pick up clothes and he showed me the barrage of texts he was getting from all three of them since yesterday morning. There was a lot of vile and entitled rambling from the kids demanding that H get a sitter for DD and lamenting the fact that he loves her more than he loves them, but my favorite message of all was from BM:

"Oh poor felicity is sick?! Do you think I've never been sick in 13 years? But you NEVER helped me! You're only helping her because you're so scared of her."

Like, wtf lady? If he's scared of anyone, it's YOU because you're the only one in this dynamic who has gone nuclear on countless occasions and tried to destroy him personally, his livelihood, and his relationship with his kids. I've never even tried to so much as hurt his feelings. I'm basically on death's doorstep but every time I recall this text I just start giggling. If he was scared of me, I'd be a lot better off, believe me.
